Esta se basa principalmente en el recital de poesía llevado a cabo por Zurita y otros poetas para los monos papiones del Zoológico Metropolitano. Se explora el motivo de esta acción poética, siendo principalmente la crueldad absoluta e insensibilidad que sólo el ser humano puede mostrar en comparación con los otros animales. Además, se aborda la situación actual de la poesía en Chile junto con la relación entre poesía y dolor.
