Conjunto de 85 tarjetas o fichas de papel manuscritas utilizadas, presuntamente, por el escritor Carlos Droguett y su esposa Isabel Lazo como método de estudio y memorización de los idiomas francés y alemán durante los inicios de su exilio en Suiza. Las piezas contienen términos, modismos y frases cotidianas en ambas lenguas (tales como, 'se tromper de route', 'une enveloppe', 'den falschen Weg einschlagen / sich verfahren'), orientadas a la comunicación básica y la adaptación al nuevo entorno residencial. Este material constituye un testimonio de la cotidianidad, el choque lingüístico y el proceso de arraigo forzado de la pareja en Europa a una edad avanzada.
